Portugal Strengthens Its Position in the Global Meetings Industry
Portugal continues to stand out as one of the world’s leading destinations for international meetings and events. According to the latest ICCA ranking, the country remains 9th globally and 7th in Europe, hosting 290 international conferences in 2024.
Lisbon regained its position as the world’s 2nd most popular city for international congresses, just behind Vienna, while Porto also reinforced its international presence, ranking among the top destinations for global events.
These results highlight Portugal’s growing appeal for the MICE sector and confirm the country’s reputation as a world class destination for conferences, incentives and corporate events.
